Family relationships, marriage and divorce in Japan

In a Japanese family, wife often becomes the central figure in a family. Normally, she manages every household such as cooking, washing clothes, shopping, throwing out the garbage and more. So, in Japan, there are many husbands who also leave the handling and the way of using of his income entirely to his wife. So, it is often occurred that wife spend a lot of money to buy her luxury stuff such as clothes, accessories without telling his husband. And later, husband would be shocked to know the loss of amount of money.
In Japan, a couple of years ago, husband rarely helped households. On weekends, many husband made himself at home, watching TV, sleeping and more. However, these days, situations are gradually changing. Wife’s roles are not only to working in a family, but also in outside. As in America, there are many women who want to work outside and earn her money herself. Now, many women cannot do every household so these days husband tend to help and share the work in a family with wife.
However, as in America, as increasing the working women who is independent, the divorce rates are now increasing in Japan.
In Japan, people who married in a young days because women get pregnant are now increasing. I think of course they fall in love with each other at that time, however, these couple are tend to divorce in a couple of years. For them, it is too soon to raise their children. In Japan, unlike in Western countries, for an illegitimate child, it is difficult to live in a Japanese society. So, young couples are tend to marry to think about their children. Like in Western countries, if Japanese governments assure the rights of illegitimate child and Japanese society’s attitude toward the illegitimate child has changed , I think birthrates in Japan can be increasing.
